Nanna Ditzel Pair of Ring Chairs in Cognac Color Leather

Danish designer Nanna Ditzel believed that the best thoughts came from being in the most comfortable positions. From the onset she designed for the body and it's comfort. Breaking with traditional design conventions Ditzel instead favored an experimental approach to new materials and was a pioneer in wickerwork, foam rubber, and fiberglass. She reveled in the inspiration that came along with new materials and means of produciton. The iconic Ring arm chairs above are designed by Ditzel and are hand-craftd by prestigious Danish furniture company, Getama. Their sculptural form embodies the designers philosophy, beliefs and approach to design resulting in an exceptionally comfortable and visualy pleasing chair that brings elegance to every interior. The pair has oak legs and is upholstered in cognac color leather using traditional Scandanavian techniques.
