Luciano Frigerio

Luciano Frigerio (1928–1999) was a remarkable Italian designer known for blending Brutalism, sculpture, and artisanal woodworking. He founded Frigerio di Desio and worked closely with Italian master craftsmen, using materials such as bronze and carved wood to create furniture that broke away from traditional design norms.

Frigerio's creations emerged during a vibrant period in Italian design, when artists combined art and furniture to create expressive, rich pieces. His brass headboards, sculpted credenzas, and geometric tables reflect the influence of Italian postwar sculpture and the bold style of the 1960s and 1970s.

Today, Frigerio furniture is highly collectible for its craftsmanship and sculptural presence. These pieces anchor contemporary interiors with weight, texture, and unmistakable Italian sophistication.
